SEAMEO INNOTECH was established in 1969 with a mission to support the SEAMEO purpose of fostering education for human resource development among South-East Asian countries. It promotes educational innovation and technology through training and research. It has trained more than 5,200 educators in Asian region.

The Goals

1. To undertake relevant and quality training, research, information programmes, as well as other programmes that are responsive to current national and regional requirements.
2. To strengthen the Centre's management through strategic and total quality management which ensures efficiency and quick responsiveness to the rapidly changing environment and needs of the SEAMEO member countries.
3. To ensure the Centre's financial viability through a broader financial resource base in order to provide adequate support for its operations and mandated programmes and services, including inter-regional educational exchange programmes.
4. To strengthen the Centre's institutional linkages, collaboration and networking and establish new ones within the South East Asian Region and beyond for the mutual exchange of experiences, sharing of educational innovation and technology, and to facilitate collective
5. action whenever deemed necessary by the various clientele.
6. To increase access of programmes and services to wider markets, including public and private sectors within and outside the Region without jeopardizing Centre's services to meet the interests and needs of member countries.
